Teresa painted two budgies sitting on a branch to the left of the artwork and a brown cat on the right. Her brush strokes add texture to the animals against the bright white background. The fine pencil outline and whiskers of the cat complement the softer colours of the watercolour. Next to the cat, she has written the name Smokey in pencil.
Teresa said:
“Smokey, one of my cats I had when I was very young. I had some money that I put towards having a kitten for my twelfth birthday.”
